Full description

See some superb Highland sights on this 1-day excursion from Inverness, and keep an eye out for the Loch Mess monster.

Begin your day out from Inverness, by hopping on board the coach and heading for Urquhart Castle. Spend time for refreshments and photos at the Castle, located on the banks of Loch Ness.

From Mallaig, travel to Fort Augustus for a refreshing break, and then to Commando Memorial for a photo stop before heading for the beautiful Glenfinnan Viaduct, well known for the Hogwarts Express Harry Potter Train. Enjoy an hour here to soak up the atmosphere, and get your camera ready for a photo of the train when it crosses the bridge.

Then, travel westwards on the picturesque Road to the Isles and arrive in the harbour village of Mallaig in time for lunch. Spend time exploring its harbour and beautiful sea views.

From Mallaig, travel to Fort Augustus for a refreshment break, and then on to the Falls of Foyers; an impressive waterfall. Your final stop of the day is Dores Beach; located at the north of Loch Ness. Pause here for time to explore its sandy beach and go Nessie hunting, before returning to Inverness.

Andrew J was our guide and he was fantastic and knowledgeable. The van was super comfy with just 2 more families. The places were breathtaking and amazingly beautiful. We had a 4 yo kid and our parents 65+ yo. All of them enjoyed the trip and were super happy. Though foyers falls was not the suitable place for our parents as it requires quite a bit of trekking so they stayed in the van. Our kid went down with us and enjoyed the trek. Harry Potter train was an eye candy. Andrew made sure we stopped at enough places for the photos, refreshments and incredible views. He gave us enough time to enjoy at each spot! I think we did not go to the Dores beach and our 12 hrs trip ended by 6 pm. But we all enjoyed a lot and I would definitely recommend this comfortable trip with Andrew J. Thank you so much from all of us for the lovely time.

We enjoyed our visit with Julianne (Rusty) and Kyle sooooo much. The mixture of amazing landscape, valuable informations (history and presence), played fitting scotish songs during the tour, humorous stories and jokes, fitting breaks and many more things weren‘t unsurpassable. Both guides were more than sympathic, funny and profound of local knowledges. We are delighted and can recommend the tour and the both guides. Thank you very much for this amazing day!!! All the best from the germans Charlotte, Dorothea and Axel (Sir Lichtenstein )
