3. From Paracas: Ballestas Islands & Paracas National Reserve

After a convenient hotel pickup from either Paracas or Pisco, head to the Marina Turistica to start your adventure. Board a speedboat with your bilingual, Spanish and English-speaking guide, and jet out onto the sea towards the stunning Ballestas. Along the way, stop at the Paracas Peninsula to see the Candelabro, an enigmatic glyph carved into the side of the island — whose purpose, and creator, remain a mystery to this day. Afterwards, continue onwards towards the marine sanctuary of Ballestas. You’ll then return to the Marina Turistica for a drive to Paracas National Reserve. An almost alien landscape, the Paracas National Reserve is composed of vast, sprawling deserts and high sandstone cliffs directly next to the bright, blue ocean. What people are saying about Ica Region

This was smooth as silk. We got picked up at our hotel in a luxury car, and it was just the 2 of us with the driver and our guide for the day. Because of this, we could arrange the day as we wanted. Of course our Nazca flight was a certain time. But we had a flight home that same night and needed to be back at our hotel by a certain time. Our guide arranged everything and we got to do the things we wanted to in a quicker time period. We saw the Nazca lines (as well as a nice flight before and after to the airport). Then went dune buggy riding and sand surfing at a different national park. We didn’t want to do the liquor tasting. So it all worked out. Plus our guide, Jessica, spoke amazing English and was extra helpful in many ways!!!

I love the experience. Our guide Luis was the best. They were on time, he answered all of my questions about Peru. Both the driver and the tour guide were polite. I could have asked for a better experience

a great treatment and a highly recommended excursion, especially the visit to the national reserve.

Great service, the tour was perfect and the tour lasted more than expected!
