Full description
On this tour you will get to know Sibenik, an undiscovered gem of The Adriatic. By walking through the narrow medieval streets of Sibenik, you will feel the soul of this town, like no other Mediterranean town has. You may feel like you are going back in the 14th, 15th and 16th century. The most famous building in Sibenik is the UNESCO listed medieval cathedral of St. Jacob, with amazing stonework by two of the most important medieval masters and sculptors from 15th century Dalmatia (Juraj Dalmatinac and Nikola Firentinac).
As you arrive at one of the most beautiful squares in Dalmatia, close your eyes, go back to the past and listen to the whispers of stonemasons, who spent their entire lives struggling to finish this amazing work of art. Everything that was important for the life of this town in the medieval ages, has been placed on this square; The Town Hall, a small loggia, a big rain water tank and cathedral from 15th and 16th centuries.
Afterwards, you will drive to the Krka National Park, 15-20 minutes by car. Here you will be pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the nature. The Krka river is 72 kilometers long, and 46 kilometers were declared to a National Park, with an area of 110km2, with 7 waterfalls, Roman ruins, medieval fortresses and much more. You will also visit one of the most famous waterfalls in Europe, "Skradinski buk". Here, Krka flows over the 17 cascades which are formed by travertine barriers. You will have the opportunity to visit the old water mills and see an ethnography collection. Stroll into the woods along the river with its glorious cascading waterfall.
