The trip was very well organised and ran smoothly from the hotel pick-up to being met at Cairo airport. Our guide was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about not only the places we visited but Cairo and Egypt in general. She bought the group some local street food for breakfast, which was delicious, and we made our way through Cairo in the coach. We visited a local bazaar, Cairo Museum and Giza. As we had time, the guide arranged for the group to go on a boat trip down the Nile, which was a lovely unexpected addition to the trip. The only part my boyfriend and I didn't particularly like was being taken to the papyrus and perfume shops, as we felt like we were constantly being sold to at every turn, but that's just Egypt. It does get a little tiring but the locals have to make a living, I guess. We took a separate trip (not arranged through Get Your Guide) to Luxor later in the week and we both commented on how much better this trip was in comparison. Would definitely recommend!

A tale of two halves. The trip was amazing but the sharing of information was very poor. Let me explain... The actual trip once started was amazing beginning to end. We arrived at Cairo to be met by our guide. There were three families, one French, One German and ourselves, English. We each had a guide to speak our own language. Our guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and the pace was great. We didn't feel rushed at all and were taken to the most interesting points during the trip. We had completed the tour at about 4 but our flight home was not until 10.30 so our guides kindly arranged further activities, a visit to some local shops, a cruise on the Nile and a visit to Cairo market. The negative part was that we had very little communication. We were not informed of collection times until 8.30pm the night before the trip. This spoilt the day before the trip as were thought we had been scammed. It would have been good to know at least the morning before of collection times.

We booked a guided tour of Cairo and can only give our recommendation. Our group consisted of 7 people with guide and driver, which was an ideal size. Our guide Ramadan Saber spoke good English and German, was able to answer all questions and was always up for a joke. The tour was well organized and you got honest and detailed impressions of Cairo. All in all we were very satisfied and would do this tour again in a heartbeat.

The guide was excellent! His name is Tharwat and I strongly recommend him! Very nice day though the time was so little that we rushed everywhere. But anyway excellent experience!

Despite the early start it was great to see Cairo, the museum and, of course, the Pyramids. Enjoyed touring round with the other guests and friendly, expert guide …
