Las Vegas: Grand Canyon Ranch Tour with Horseback/Wagon Ride

1. Las Vegas: Grand Canyon Ranch Tour with Horseback/Wagon Ride

Explore beyond Las Vegas by enjoying a true Wild West Adventure! Begin with a complimentary shuttle pickup from your Las Vegas hotel. Enjoy a photo stop at the Hoover Dam, a modern marvel of engineering. From here, your journey will bring you to the historic Grand Canyon Western Ranch, first owned by a genuine cowboy outlaw in the 1880’s. Once you arrive at the ranch you’ll partake in your chosen activity. Explore the land, see the sights and feel the old west heritage while being guided by a real cowboy. Hear stories of the land and see the herd of resident buffalo. Enjoy lunch and live cowboy entertainment. Your purchase includes your choice between a 45-minute horseback ride or a ride in a covered wagon.  Horseback Ride: Experience a guided horseback ride where you will see the icon of the west, the buffalo, roaming in its natural environment. All the horse rides are designed for beginners; the horses are gentle and well trained and suitable for ages 9 and over. Pony rides available for ages 8 and under. Comfortably seated in your authentic western saddle, follow your guide through the Joshua Trees lining the historic Mormon Trail and up to Buffalo Point. Take photos of the wild buffalo and enjoy panoramic views of Spirit and Iron Mountain. Covered Wagon Ride: Climb aboard a covered wagon drawn by two beautiful Belgian Draft Horses. Go back in time as you follow the old Mormon trail as the pioneers did long ago. As you climb through the Joshua tree forest your cowboy guide will provide tales of the history and wildlife of this historic ranch. On arrival at Buffalo Point, get your first views of the majestic icon of the west, the buffalo. Enjoy the opportunity to see these animals that used to roam the plains in their millions, and hear the story about their near extinction.

Grand Canyon West & Hoover Dam Combo Tour

2. Grand Canyon West & Hoover Dam Combo Tour

This amazing day includes a wonderful tour of Hoover Dam followed by 3 full hours at the Grand Canyon West Rim on the Hualapai Reservation. Hoover Dam is located in Black Canyon on the Colorado River.  It’s an outstanding achievement, noteworthy not only for its enormous dimensions, complex design and intricate construction, but also for its illustration of man's outstanding ability to overcome the desert's summer sun, the vagaries of a treacherous river, and the extreme hazards of the great heights of the canyon’s sheer walls. This tour includes breathtaking views from the Top of the Dam, Lake Mead, the world's largest man-made lake, the eastern edge of the chasm in Arizona where you have fabulous views of the dam. In addition, you will walk across the top of the Dam into Arizona where there are wonderful photo ops of the new Hoover Dam Bridge. As a bonus, stop at a local park where herds of Big Horn Sheep often come down from the surrounding mountains to gather and graze on the sweet grass. Cross the beautiful High Desert of Arizona and visit the incredible 900 year old Joshua Tree Forest, Eagle Point & Guano Point (with 3 hours to explore the most beautiful natural locations at the rim of the Grand Canyon). You’ll have a romantic lunch at the rim and see Native American Dwellings. This is the “family outing” of a lifetime!

We had an amazing tour guide, Rigo. He was knowledgeable not only about the Grand Canyon, but also about the route there and the towns along the way. The small tour was great because we felt like old friends before the day was over.

Rigo was a wonderful driver and guide. We had a great trip. The South Rim is the incredible and a small group tour was everything we had hoped it would be. We highly recommend it over any big bus tour.

Truly an awesome experience for my wife and I. Will not hesitate in the future to return next time we’re in the area

A wonderful experience, very nice people and love horses! The scenery is stunning!
