Great guide!

We enjoyed our tour very much. Our guide/driver had to change our route due to a foot-race in Hobart. I really appreciated his patience with a few passengers who kept talking during the tour. He politely asked them several time to be quiet. I would have lost my patients with these rude ladies. He handled them very well.

Really enjoyable overview of the city

We started the tour at the Brooke st pier. The old fashioned bus was not available which was obviously a disappointment as it was the main reason we booked this tour. The tour guide Neil was knowledgable and good fun too. There were only five on the tour so it felt very personal. Bit of a whistle stop tour to see some of the sight but gave enough information to visit them again at a more leisurely pace

It wasn't always clear, what the driver was saying about the thing we were supposed to be looking at, and we were passed the item in question before we saw it. I would have liked more time in Battery Point and less time looking at military stuff in the Barracks, but I'm a "girl" ! Cascade Brewery was not engaging - but if this tour is just a dip into the things that we can follow up at a later stage, then its OK. It gives an overview of Hobart's past, especially the Women's Prison which was fascinating.
