    Learn about Vietnam’s wartime past and traditional rural life on a full day, off-the-beaten-path tour from Ho Chi Minh City. Following a pick-up from your hotel in the city center, transfer by luxury speedboat to Cu Chi. Journey past the pastures of the tranquil countryside for a glimpse at local life along the riverbanks. Upon arrival at the Cu Chi Tunnels, explore the network of subterranean passages and rooms used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. Then, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch prepared by your chef. Next, explore the surrounding countryside by minibus. Visit an authentic cricket farm, and an organic herb farm. Stop at a rural house to see how the traditional rice paper is made by hand. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City for the end of the tour services.

    Liked the condensed itinerary and variety

    My partner and I weren't interested in the full-day tour of just the cu chi tunnels, so this tour was a great compromise since we still got to see and learn about the tunnels, but we went through much faster than the other tour groups and then got to move on to see other neat things in the area. There were only 3 people in our group (including me and my partner), so it was essentially a private tour.

    This was a great excursion. Pick up was prompt at our hotel. Since it was an early morning pick up there was a light breakfast provided on the boat ... croissants, sandwiches, iced coffee, soft drinks and fruit. Our tour guide spoke very good english and was quite knowledgable and engaging .. always smiling... always willing to go the extra mile. I learned a lot about the American/Vietnam war and found it to be a very fair and truthful account. The tunnels and bunkers were amazing ... so cool to be able to crawl thru them. The firing range was a cool thing to do ... had your choice of weapons (M16, AK47 and others). It was $27US for 10 bullets. Nice gift shop there also. The lunch we were served was delicious and plentiful and they catered to the allerfy needs of some.of the other guests. The country side tour was quick and efficient ... stopping to make rice paper, a rubber plantation and cricket farm ... where we ate some grilled crickets. All in all it was an amazing tour.

    Booked tour on a Saturday evening, received my voucher on Sunday for a tour for Monday - so that worked well. picked up from hotel exactly on time. great friendly staff. I choose the speedboat tour of Cu chi tunnels and countryside tour. Great way to start as you miss all the traffic and get there early. nice food and drink on boat as we speed along. Tam our guide was excellent and told many a fact about the country and the tunnels. Nice amount of time at the site and got to go in the tunnels (optional) and even had time to fire some rounds at the shooting range. Min 10 bullets which cost 19 USD - they take local as well. a worker is right there with you so all done very well. nice lunch - sharing plates. Afterwards went in a minivan (air-con) to visit a rice paper little place where i tried making one, small veg farm, rubber tree plantation and then a cricket farm. served and ate! 1hr to do all that. van back to hotel for 2pm. Bottled water is on hand thought day. great tour!
