The half day tour is very nice and our tour guide Tin is great. We joined a smallwe group that only 15 people in our tour. So we can have enough time to experience the tunnel. We tried a few tunnels and finished the 100m tunnel that is a lot of fun. There is a short stop on the way for rest. They also introduce the handicraft (painting factory) in this stop. It is the kind of shopping point but they do not force you to buy anything at all. And the products looks quite nice actually. Highly recommend for people who visit Ho Chi Ming City. If I only have one day in the city, I would join this tour and spend the rest of the day to walk around the city and enjoy the food / massage. Small group is definitely important. We see some big group in the area that contain around 30 people. Definitely not enough time for everyone to try out the tunnel.
It was a great tour, with a very friendly and knowledgable guide. We were lucky because we were the only two people booked for the day. That meant that we could stay as long or as short as we wanted at any particular sight. The hour-long cyclo bike ride through Chinatown and the Ho Thi Ky flower market was a great start. It's amazing how the cyclo drivers can maneuver around the rest of the crazy Saigon traffic! Next was a visit to the oldest Buddhist temple in Saigon. Watching the monks chant before eating their meal was a surreal experience. Every stop on the tour was an interesting part of the day. The guide answered every question that we had. This tour is a great value and definitely worth the money!
Good value for money, guide 'Mike' was informative and jokey, picked up from and to our hotel. We were picked up 10 mins late, and had what I thought was an unnecessary stop on the way, but this turned out to be a good thing, as all other groups arrived early, so when we got there, there was still other groups, but by time we got to the tunnel walking, we were the only ones left, so had the place to ourselves, which was nice.
The tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable, friendly, considerate to everyone's tastes and wishes, good English and kept us well informed about the plan. The van transfer was comfortable (AC, free water and refreshing towelettes). The visit itself was mind blowing! Interactive, immersive, so informative and I had so many questions, all of which were answered. Highly recommended.
We did this after we had been to the War museum. It made what we’d seen come to life. it’s a fun experience wriggling into the tiny hole then seeing how far you can crawl along the tunnel but you never forget how hellish the real thing must have been. our guide was helpful and it was worth paying a bit more for a small group and getting picked up from the hotel
