Great experience and lovely hosts. You can select you own Kimono and take pictures, nice tea ceremony where you learn on how to prepare matcha tea. Also, the calligraphy workshop was great, really meditative activity where you learn to focus and create your own nice takesway. Rhe hosts take a lot if time and give you good instructions. Highly recommend - auf Wiedersehen! :)

Amazing experience! The ladies in the temple were super kind and they helped us to wear our kimono! The dresses were absolutely beautiful! The calligraphy experience was very interesting, at the end we got the souvenir made by ourselves!! We strongly suggest to do this experience in Miyajima!!

The kimono and calligraphy experience was a dream! We were dressed in beautiful kimonos (which we chose) by lovely ladies who patiently and very gently tended to us. They helped us select the most suitable obis and scarves, which helped the kimono colours and designs stand out. Then we enjoyed a relaxed photo taking session in the temple’s tasteful garden before starting our calligraphy experience. Our teacher introduced the material and explained the technique clearly and patiently, she checked how we were doing - first on a draft paper, then on our votive rice spoon. She encouraged the children brilliantly and helped us write our names in Japanese. This was by far one of our best experiences in Japan. Do not hesitate!
