We rode the smaller boat over to Daufuski and the larger boat back. Both were enjoyable. The scenery is so pretty. Our guide Petey was very nice and pointed out places of interest such as famous peoples homes. Courtney, the one who handles checking you in, has the best personality. She is very friendly, helpful and smiles a lot. The whole crew seemed to have a great time working. I think they did an awesome job and we enjoyed the round trip boat ride.

We had a great time exploring Daufuskie Island in our golf cart. On the way back to the dock we spotted a tent and grill set up on the side of the road. It smelled great so we pulled over and ate lunch at the Jake Washington Grill. Jake’s son is now the chef and he cleared off a spot at his table for us while we enjoyed delicious ribs, beans and potato salad. We left feeling welcome and lucky to experience the true island experience.

Our family of 5 loved our adventurous trip to Daufuskie. The boat ride was beautiful across the sound. Definitely rent a golf cart bc it allowed us to explore on our own after eating a great lunch at the restaurant on the island. We made our way to the beach and loved swimming in the Atlantic Ocean too. Great day and experience!
