From Hamburg: Private Guided Day Trip to Hanover

2. From Hamburg: Private Guided Day Trip to Hanover

"Take a city break in a vibrant city of Hannover where you will discover a mix of old-world charm and outstanding green areas and parks. You will find that apart from being an important commercial center, Hannover also has a culture rich in arts and music. Your Private Guide will take you to the Herrenhauser Gardens. This 300 years old garden ensemble consists of one of the most distinguished Baroque gardens of Europe. You will spend 2-hours exploring the beautifully maintained green gardens, fantastic fountains, sculptures as well as the building of the Herrenhausen Palace and other phenomenal structures. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this place. You will then stroll down the Herrenhauser Alley to the Hannover city center. Here, you will see some of the very few buildings that survived the WWII bombings. One of them is the Market Church, which dates back to the 14th century. It’s an old brick structure in Gothic style with a landmark bell tower. RIght next to it is the Altes Rathaus, the Old Town Hall with exceptional gothic gables and the ornamental frieze. Next, you will walk towards the grand castle-like New CIty Hall. The area surrounding the city hall is a picturesque landscape, with a lovely park and a large pond. Then you will see the elegant neo-Renaissance building of the Landesmuseum, which hosts 7 centuries of art and history, an aquarium and children’s museum. The tour will end at the Schützenplatz, which is a home to the Frühlingsfest fairground."
