What people are saying about Heraklion Regional Unit

My husband and I decided to do this cooking class as a part of our honeymoon trip. Though we did not realize it originally, it was a private cooking class just for us! It started off with a tour of the village and some history about the traditional Cretan way of life. The food we made was all amazing and tasted fresh, we just made so much it was hard to eat everything! Our guide was amazing, very knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole experience very enjoyable. To top it off, we got to eat our creations out on the patio with an amazing view of Heraklion and the sea. We absolutely enjoyed our day and highly recommend this activity for anyone looking to learn a little more about Cretan food and history!

Our guide was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Greek food, customs and had helpful information about the Iraklio food scene and the city. She related the Greek culinary traditions to history which was very enlightening. The tastings were very generous and varied. The restaurants and shops we visited were very nice, and there was always time for shopping. Our guide made sure we were comfortable at all times. If you like exploring food and customs, this is the tour for you! We had a great time.

This was a blend of museum tour, cooking class, and excellent dining experience. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. The food was unbelievable! Would absolutely recommend.
