Our tour guide Eleni was brilliant and her English tour of Knossos and Heraklion was so interesting. We really enjoyed the Archaeological Museum and would recommend buying the combined ticket for €20. Picked up and dropped off as stated. Had 3 hours free time in Heraklion so had time for a coffee, lunch and the museum.

Nice experience. The guide was very sympathetic and told us a lot of interesting information about the place and the minoic culture. I liked the time they gave us to explore the city center on our own so we were able to eat something and go shopping at the market.

We really enjoyed the trip. Our pick up was from Gouves, so inevitably our time on the coach was longer than for those staying nearer to Ag. Nicholaos. We didn't mind this, as we expected it and the coach was comfortable. It gave us chance to see a lot of other resorts along the way and get a feel for them. Ag. Nicholaos and Elounda were both nice areas which we may revisit at some point. There was time for a wander and a lovely seafood lunch in Elounda. I was surprised the guided tour of Spinalonga was whilst circumnavigating it from the sea and not an escorted tour around the island itself, however in retrospect this was probably more practical to avoid congestion on the island, where we had time to wander by ourselves. There is a museum on the island which tells you about the history. For additional context I would recommend reading a book called 'Spinalonga: The true story' by Anna Giakoumaki as well as of course the more famous book 'The Island' by Victoria Hislop.
