We are staying in Malia, the bus picked us up 400 meters from our hotel, well organized tour, our very kind and competent guide, the friendly and helpful driver. The departure from Malia is Peró a journey of hope, departure before 5.30 and return at 21. The lagoon is a paradise, the journey is worth it, But it is really tiring, the travel time is more than that of staying in beach (you stay 4.5 hours, the trip lasts 9 hours in total). I recommend it anyway, as long as there are no too small children. I recommend that you bring an umbrella because when the tour buses arrive, the bathrooms are already full! And if it's not windy it's incredibly hot!

Nice excursion, the beach is beautiful. We were able to spot many fish in the clear water (some even saw a turtle). The water is at a good temperature to get in easily, the beach is big enough for everyone. (There are a lot of people) On the other hand, the trip by coach is very long, about 3h30/4h by road. And I advise you to watch the weather forecast, we had a lot of wind which made the day a little less pleasant.

Journey is long, the road is full of hairpin bends, but the place is heavenly. Too bad that there is little time left (a couple of hours, I think due to the distance). It's super touristy, so it's best to go in the off season. in any case, don't stop at the lagoon but go further on the island!
