Lund & Malmö: Guided Tour of 2 Countries in One Day

1. Lund & Malmö: Guided Tour of 2 Countries in One Day

Take a guided day trip from Copenhagen to the historic cities of Malmo and Lund in neighboring Sweden. Visit Hamlet's Castle, enjoy free time in Helsingør, take a boat ride across the Øresund, and explore the Lund Cathedral, before shopping in Malmo. Start your day of adventure by meeting your local guide in front of the Grand Hotel. After a short meet and greet, hop aboard your comfortable vehicle and set off on your day trip. Start your tour with a visit to Hamlet's Castle. Shortly after, take a scenic drive down the coastal road of Strandvejen and arrive in the charming old town of Helsingør, also known as Elsinor. Enjoy free time to stroll the streets of this beautiful city before boarding a boat to Sweden.  Set sail across the Øresund, traveling to the shores of Sweden. Upon arrival in Sweden, drive down the picturesque country roads to the ancient city of Lund. Visit the Lund Cathedral. Behind the Cathedral there is a chance to explore the tiny streets with houses that date back to the 1700s. Continue with a trip to Malmö with free time to do some shopping. With Sweden's lower purchase taxes this a great place to get bargains on goods to take home with you. End your tour back in Copenhagen, passing by the impressive Øresund Bridge on the return journey.

Copenhagen: Roskilde, Frederiksborg & Kronborg Day Tour

2. Copenhagen: Roskilde, Frederiksborg & Kronborg Day Tour

Enjoy a scenic sightseeing tour of North Sealand on an 8.5-hour excursion from Copenhagen, and visit the royal monuments of Kronborg Castle and Frederiksborg Castle and the World Heritage site of Roskilde Cathedral. Ideal for those who want to explore further than the city center to see as much as possible of historic Denmark, but are short of time, you will travel in a small group for a more personalized experience. The tour includes time to explore the imposing exteriors and interiors of Frederiksborg and Kronborg castles, the latter set on the banks of the Sund between Denmark and Sweden, and most notable as the site of Elsinore in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.” Soak up the romantic setting of Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød, surrounded by a beautiful lake and gardens. The guide will take you to Roskilde to visit Roskilde Cathedral, the burial site of 39 Danish kings and queens, including Ingrid of Sweden, spouse of Denmark’s Frederick IX, father of the current Queen Margrethe II. The last stop on your tour will be the Viking Ship Museum to see rebuilt models and excavated ships from the days when the Vikings rampaged their way - and conquered - much of Western Europe and the North Atlantic. Please note, that between November and March and most of April, the tour does not include a visit to the Cathedral's interior but rather a walk around the impressive structure and an introduction to the Cathedral's place in history.

My best friend and I recently visited Copenhagen for 5 days. We found this tour via Get Your Guide and we would totally recommend it. A great opportunity to see more of Denmark, as well as to hop over to Sweden and explore here as well. The tour is a good balance of an audio guide (on the bus) and independent free time to explore at each location. Good earphones and bottles of water are provided as part of the tour. We had Mario who was a great guide.

This was our first full day in Denmark. The Coach was on time and we were greeted in a friendly manner. The guides were very informative and professional. We had commentary throughout the trip. Meeting points and timings were clear. Despite the wet weather, which restricted our view some what ,we enjoyed our trip immense. We thoroughly recommend this trip.

This was a wonderful experience. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, organised and with a great sense of humour. A great balance was struck between the guided aspects and those times when we were free to roam. The sites were beautiful and incredibly interesting, with just enough time at each to absorb the atmosphere. Highly, highly recommended.

The tourguide and the driver so nice peoples..they are so updated .and the place we're we go..both nice.only the problem is when rain is come we can't do anything Denmark is a nice place...lots of history places.
