Tromso: Whale Watching in Magic Skjervoy
- Small group
- Duration: 12 hours
English below :) Nagyon élveztük az utat. Everything was perfect. We had a lucky, amazing day with the orcas, Krisztina and Norbert are very kind guides, told us a lot about the whales, behaviors, everything. The lavvo stay was also excellent, our host was super kind, the dinner and the breakfast were delicious. We also had the chance to see beautiful Aurora. Thank you for this experience, we are really grateful!
One of the best things I have ever done. We saw a pod of Orcas and followed them for over an hour. We also saw two humpbacks however not quite as well. The orcas came within 10 feet of the boat which was a rib. There were 10 guest on board. It’s cold very cold the heat they give you is decent but won’t keep you dry. They advise you keep your coat on too. I was soaked by the end. I would recommend taking dry clothes and a towel but there are no changing rooms. We were very lucky but be prepared not to see anything.
This is not a pleasure boat ride. But it is a pleasure, if you want to get to the whales in a hurry. The boat is a 10-person Zodiac-style vessel that does move. It was around -5°C, so the provided flotation suits, balaclavas, and goggles were necessary. The operators seemed genuinely striving to make sure everybody got their money's worth. Mission accomplished, with lots of orcas am a large pod of humpbacks spouting and waving their flukes.
This was one of the most incredible things I’ve ever done. My guide was super nice and took us to a couple of fjords with so many whales, we must have seen 50, both humpbacks and orcas! The drive was very comfortable and the floatation suits were warm, but be sure to really bundle up underneath as 2-3 hours out on the water will make you cold! Can’t recommend enough
Amazing activity. We were able to watch a large group of orcas very close to the boat and also one humpback whale. The guides acted respectfully around the whales and helped ud to point out the whales. I would warmly recommend the trip, though I must mention it can be rough if you suffer easily from seasickness.
