Full description
Experience a varied walking tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the famous Chilehaus, as well as the traditional warehouses of the Speicherstadt district. Throughout this walking tour, you will explore three fascinating districts, each of which represent the dynamic development of Hamburg. You can journey back in time to one of the most exciting epochs of Hamburg: The prominent Kontorhäuser (office buildings). These buildings exemplify economic growth and worldwide influence, and tell stories of clerks and money counting tables. Discover the exceptional variety of Hamburg's Speicherstadt and the HafenCity. Admire old warehouses, new dock promenades, brick facades, canals, modern architecture, and fantastic views overlooking the river Elbe. See the most important buildings in the Magdeburg Port, such as the International Maritime Museum and the Überseequartier (the cruise terminal). There you can also marvel at the spectacular building of the controversial Elbe Philharmonic Hall.

Exceptionally interesting and entertaining tour through the Kontorhaus district and the Speicherstadt. Although we have lived here for many years, we saw an incredible amount that had completely escaped us before. Many thanks to our competent guide who literally carried us away with her own enthusiasm. We could have listened to her for hours.
