Full description
Embark on a self-guided culinary tour of Hamburg. Explore the city's food scene at your own pace and visit five fascinating locations. Benefit from vouchers for each of the food and beverage vendors visited and complete a fun quiz for a chance to win a prize. Begin your culinary adventure at Kölln Haferland, a 200-year-old family-run business specializing in oat cereal. Here you'll receive everything you need for your tour, including a map, a recipe that you can shop for along the way, your vouchers, and the list of questions for the quiz. Explore the store and deli at Kölln Haferland and keep your eyes open for clues to the questions. Next, head to one of the most exciting culinary projects in Hamburg, Hobenköök. This innovative store combines a restaurant with an indoor market that sells primarily regional products. See the goods on offer, admire the chic industrial setting and maybe grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. Choose from a range of traditional dishes from Hamburg and Northern Germany with a focus on seasonal produce. Can you smell that? Freshly roasted coffee awaits at your next stop, Speicherstadt Kaffeerösterei. Enjoy a delicious pick-me-up in the largest warehouse district in the world and admire the striking red brick buildings that dominate this area. Continue your tour with a visit to the Überquell Brewery, another location that combines eye-catching architecture with the best food and drinks Hamburg has to offer. Enjoy views of the Elbe River and the busy port from the sundeck while you sample the craft beer that this Brewpub is famous for. If you're still hungry, pair your lineup of beers with a Neapolitan-style pizza. End your foodie tour with a visit to FrischeParadies. Learn why this store is favored by foodies and chefs alike. Marvel at the wide range of fresh produce, meat, fish, wines, and more. Grab the last few items on your shopping list before you head home to cook the recipe provided with your tour.

A very nice tour through Hamburg, which we had a lot of fun with. However, you should plan about 6 hours on foot, then it is more relaxed. You should also know that some of the businesses to be visited are closed on Sunday, including the Kölln Haferland. There you start and you have to exchange your voucher for the starting license here in advance. There were four of us on Saturday and it was pretty crowded everywhere. Therefore we recommend doing this tour during the week. We were very excited and had a great day in bright sunshine!

It was tailored just for us. We spread the tour over 2 days. Very good idea. You get to parts of Hamburg where you wouldn't have come otherwise. The opening hours are not always correct (UrQuelle), they are from last season.
