Begin at St. Michael's Church, then make your way to the Elbe Philharmonic Hall. Explore the “Krameramtsstuben”, the oldest row of house settlements still existing in Hamburg. Stroll across the Michelwiese and through the Portugiesenviertel. Stop at the underground station Baumwall, where the flood protection will be explained by your guide. Continue to the modern side of the city and to the Elbe Philharmonic Hall. Walk along the Speicherstadt, Hamburg's UNESCO World Heritage Site, and get a perspective on the city's past and present.
