Start the 5-hour trip from Salzburg with a drive through the famous Salzkammergut en route to Hallstatt, known as the Pearl of the Salzkammergut. The route will take you through a number of charming villages, as you listen to an introduction to Hallstatt and the Salzkammergut. If you wish to do the Hallstatt Skywalk, the guide will collect the money for the ticket on the bus. On arrival in Hallstatt you might begin your visit with a mountain train ride up to the entrance of the world’s oldest salt mines (though the tour does not visit the mine itself), where you can admire the views down onto Hallstatt. taxy picked me and my son from the hotel to the meeting point, which was very comfortable. the bus was great and very spacious. our travell guide was nice and pro and the ride was interesting, we had i stop on each direction on very expensive restaurants. the cruise was short but beautifull, like al of our stay in halstat.

Mountains and lakes of Salzkammergut region were unforgettable, and Hallstatt beautiful. We were not satisfied with the guide. She was more driver than guide, and we missed important part of the tour because of lack of clear information.

The tour was nice, Norbert was very kind, polite and patience. He fetch us with VW Phaeton which was a comfortable car, clean and well maintained. In total the tour was 14 hours just to see Hallstatt and Salzburg. He never counting on the hours. He just keep going and entertained us. Show us many things and explained it well. He brought us to the good Italian restaurant in Salzburg, he knew good food too.

Our day with Luciano in Hallstatt was perfectly magical. While the weather certainly helped (snow for Australians is especially lovely) so did the company of our expert guide/driver, Luciano. Pickup was on time, and he kept us informed and entertained all the way to Hallstatt, allowing us opportunities to stop and take photos if we wished. At Hallstatt, he guided us to the best vantage points for pictures, pointed out things we otherwise wouldn’t have known or seen, and gave us time at our leisure to eat lunch and explore. Hallstatt is the most beautiful place, and well worth a visit, especially with Luciano to guide you.

Great day in a just beautiful village (despite the long journey it's really worth it), the boat ride and the climb to the point of view are really to do, I highly recommend!
