Start your journey to become a confident diver on a full-day Discover Scuba Dive program in the Gulf of Papagayo. Suitable for complete beginners, the dive program requires no previous experience and includes a training session in a controlled environment. Start with an introduction to diving techniques in confined water, and learn the basic skills and how to handle your scuba equipment. Then, travel by boat to 2 different dive sites in the Gulf. Here, your instructor will lead you safely around the reefs, where rays, turtles, jacks, and snappers are often seen. Each dive takes approximately 40 minutes, with only your breathing limiting the dive time. Dive to maximum depths of 12 meters (40 feet), and experience the extraordinary sensation of breathing underwater. During the break between dives, drinks, snacks, and fresh fruit will be served. The dive boats have lots of shade to shield you from the tropical sun, while a boarding ladder and swim platform makes getting in and out easy.

Experience the fascinating underwater world of the Gulf of Papagayo on a half-day adventure tour for certified divers. Starting at Playas del Coco, transfer to the Papagayo Gulf by comfortable dive boat. After a short briefing and equipment assembly, submerge into the beautiful waters with the bilingual dive masters, who will then guide you through the reefs to see eagle rays, sting rays, turtles, and even sharks. Thousands of fish will accompany you as you explore the diversity of species on offer. You will visit 2 different dive sites for 2 separate dives, with no time limits - except by your breathing! Back on the surface, drinks, fruits, and snacks will be served on the boat. Locate your encounters on the fish chart, or just relax on the boat ride to the next dive site. You will sail back to Playas del Coco by 13:00, where you can get a stamp for your log book.

You will meet your professional snorkeling guide at 1:30pm at the freediving school in Tamarindo and chose your snorkeling equipment. You will head to Flamingo in our shuttle and get on the boat with your guide for an amazing Sea Scooter Snorkeling tour around Catalina islands. After a briefing about equipment, technique and safety, you'll jump in the water with your Sea Scooter for an unforgettable underwater adventure! Reef sharks, manta rays, turtles, and plenty of fishes might be at the party!!!

You will meet your professional freediving instructor at 7am at the freediving school in Tamarindo. You will start the day preparing your first freediving experience with some theory about freediving equipment and techniques and a breathing and relaxation techniques session in our dedicated classroom. At around 8:30am, you will head to Potrero in our shuttle and jump on the boat with your instructor for the open water freediving session. During this session you will learn underwater swimming, body positioning, duck diving and everything you need to know to be able to perform comfortable freedives beyond 5m/15ft depth. You'll be back to Tamarindo at around 12pm after an unforgettable underwater adventure!
