A must-do stop at Grumari Beach is also part of this adventure. On this hiking tour, you'll get to spend time in a spacious state park with beaches, lush forests, and the Marambaia estuary. This is a great choice for those looking for an optimal relation between effort/trail time and attraction. This moderate trail lasts around 1 hour. Prainha and Grumari Beaches: Small Group Hike and Swim

2. Prainha and Grumari Beaches: Small Group Hike and Swim

Travel to the west part of Rio de Janeiro, an area that remains untouched, yet is abundant with nature. Following the coastline, you'll pass by Reserva Beach and Lagoa de Marapendi, before stopping at Roncador viewpoint, that offers a great view to the Sleeping Giant. In this park, see a project where biologists treat animals to put them back to nature. From this summit, you will see an amazing view of the coast and the other mountains of Rio and, with a bit of imagination, the legendary 'sleeping giant'. From Prainha, drive for 5 more minutes to Grumari, your last stop where you'll stay and enjoy the beach for about 3 hours. Rio: Sitio Burle Marx and Cachaça Distillery Private Tour

3. Rio: Sitio Burle Marx and Cachaça Distillery Private Tour

Start your day with a visit to the Sitio Burle Marx, the former residence of the well-known landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx. Located in Barra de Guaratiba, the site has one of the most important collections of tropical and semi-tropical plants in the world. The on-site museum also displays art and handicrafts acquired or made by Burle Marx throughout his life.  Then, make a stop at the Max Cana Cachaça distillery to learn how the famous Brazilian drink is made. Visit the warehouse and see the machinery. Enjoy a stop here to buy lunch at the distillery restaurant, or head to another local restaurant recommended by the tour guide. If you choose the wild beaches option, you will then head to the beautiful beaches of Grumari or Prainha, where you'll have free time to swim and relax in the sun. You also have the chance to practice stand-up paddling at Restinga da Marambaia.  Alternatively, if you choose the museums option, the next stop after lunch will be House of Pontal Museum. Considered the largest and most significant museum of popular art in the country, its collection is composed of approximately 8,500 pieces by 300 Brazilian artists. The final stop would be at the Brazilian Confederation Museum. Trophies, photos, images and cutting-edge technology will make this visit an interactive, memorable experience.
