The Villages of Andalusia: Full-Day Trip from Seville

1. The Villages of Andalusia: Full-Day Trip from Seville

Escape the bustle of Seville and spend the day discovering the unique and charming villages of Andalusia and the stunning countryside that surrounds them. The spectacular route of this tour runs between Cádiz and Málaga, and encompasses as many as 3 villages and a beautiful Natural Park along the way. Spend the day admiring the unblemished, whitewashed facades of the Spanish villas against the lush greens of the surrounding forest and the bright blues of the clear skies. Venture into fairy tale villages for a beautiful leisurely journey through the unspoiled landscape and architecture. Admire spectacular views of the villages, and make sporadic breaks to taste some of the delicious traditional tapas and get acquainted with the culinary world of the Andalusian cuisine. Seville: White Villages & Ronda 2-Day Trip & Overnight Stay

2. Seville: White Villages & Ronda 2-Day Trip & Overnight Stay

Start your trip from Seville accompanied by your guide and head first to see the medieval Aguzaderas Castle in El Coronil, an ancient fortification belonging to the Islamic period on the Iberian Peninsula.   Continue onwards to visit the village of Zahara de la Sierra, one of the most picturesque white villages in the province of Cádiz, where you’ll enjoy a pleasant walking tour to see its narrow streets and awesome views of its natural surroundings. Next, visit an original oil mill where your guide will explain the traditional process making olive oil and you’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy a small tasting of the produce.   Then, drive through the wonderful landscape of Sierra de Grazalema, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1977. Continue to the village of Grazalema where you’ll have a break for lunch to discover the local gastronomy followed by some free time to explore the small city and its characteristic white buildings.   Finally, drive through the mountains to reach the beautiful city of Ronda where the guide will show you the most important attractions of the town including the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) and Alameda Gardens. At the end of the day, arrive at your 4-star hotel to rest and relax for the evening. The next day after breakfast, you can discover the city of Ronda by yourself before meeting the guide around 5:30 PM to return to Seville.

What people are saying about Grazalema

Wow, what an amazing experience! We were lucky enough to have Carlos (and his friend Sebastian) all to ourselves for a day trip out to the white villages. Sebastian is hopefully going to be hired on as a guide, as well, and was in training (please hire him, GetYourGuide!) Touring with these guys was like visiting old friends who show you around the best places, and keep you laughing with their anecdotes. Carlos is the man! He was the perfect balance of information, giving you a little space to explore on your own, and keeping it moving. We ran into him the day after our tour in Granada, and are happy to say we made a great friend. Hola to our amigo Carlos!

Very thoughtful guide Alba, and driver (Alba’s father) Luis, made our day trip to the Andalusia White Villages and Rhonda a fantastic tour. They intentionally altered our schedule having researched when it would rain today, so that we never got wet as we were indoors having lunch then just driving back to Seville when the rain started. Alba also helped take nice photos for us. Made it more like a cost outing with a new knowledgeable friend, than with a tour guide.

We had a great day and stopped a few places along the way. We visited 3 towns and took the long windy mountain roads to see spectacular scenery. We were luck to have such great weather, so we were able to walk all three towns and visit some shops, stop for coffee, and have lunch out. Thanks again for this great visit. Kathy and Mike
