Full description

Discover some of the best views of the Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding Granada, and enjoy breathtaking panoramas of the old city from secret viewpoints. On the tour, drive along trails that date back over a thousand years, from the time of the Visigoths and the Arabs. Following pickup from Granada city center, travel by 4WD vehicle towards the towering peaks of the nearby mountains north of the city. We will get an elevation of 2500 meters-8000 ft, with amazing views of the highest peaks in the Iberian peninsula. Explore the north face of the Sierra Nevada to see the highest peaks on the Iberian Peninsula, climbing to heights of more than 3,000 meters. Marvel at the amazing landscape, before driving to Sierra de Huétor Natural Park. The mountains here are lower and were used by the Moors to draw spring water for the Albaicín, now part of Granada. See some old fortifications from the days of the Spanish Civil War, and enjoy incredible views of Granada and the Sierra Nevada. Finally, visit a typical Andalusian restaurant where you can enjoy drinks, snacks, or a meal (costs not included).

This trip is amazing. Jaime is extremely knowledgeable about the terrain and the trip takes place off road, adding to the excitement. On the way up we ate fresh almonds straight from the tree - delicious. We also spotted vultures flying overhead, pajuna cows, horses and lots of other wild vegetation. As you climb higher the mountains hit you with their natural beauty and snow capped peaks. Even had time to make a snowman! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip today it just made our stay in Grenada even more special. I can't recommend this enough. Jaime goes out of his way to accommodate you. Perfect end to our trip.

Jaime was an execellent guide and driver. He knows where to go and will take you to viewpoints to see the best of the landscape. Very knowledgeable of the land as well. It was an amazing time as the mountains are still capped with snow but was fairly dry and sunny. Overall we enjoyed the trip and was worth it.

Mickael is a very good guide who loves what he does and passes it on to us. He explains well and in several languages. He takes his time and shows us very beautiful landscapes. He is caring. It was really a good experience even though I expected us to drive the car for the safari.
