Full description
Visit Federico García Lorca’s first home in the town of Fuente Vaqueros on a half-day trip from Granada. Enjoy a journey through rural Andalusia and witness the changes experienced in the village after the Spanish Civil War and the recovery of historical memory. Walk along the streets and corners that formed part of Lorca’s early childhood with your local guide. Get a close look at the places that now honor his figure. Visit the center of studies on Lorca that once housed the town’s school and spot some of the places that Lorca mentions in his best-known works. Finally, visit the house where Lorca wrote some of his best-known works. The old family residence has now become a house-museum and maintains its original structure, without modifications. Inside you can see the poet's personal items, photographs, drawings, paintings, and manuscripts. Then, start the journey back to the city center of Granada.
