Our tour will depart from the Access Pavilion of the Alhambra at the time indicated in your reservation. "On the top of the hill stands one of the most fascinating palaces ever devised by man's imagination or desired by his heart" (Washington Irving, 1832). We will first visit the Nasrid Palaces: Palacio del Mexuar or meeting room of the Council of Viziers. Then we will continue through the Golden Room and the imposing Comares Facade towards the Patio de los Arrayanes, where the Throne Room (the qubba), a symbol of the earth, and the dome, which is identified with the sky, await us. We will arrive, passing through the Emperor's Rooms, at the heart of the royal palace: the Garden of Happiness or Courtyard of the Lions, with its four rooms, its fountains, its forest of columns and, as its central axis, the Fountain of the Lions, praised by many poets since the fourteenth century. The second part of the tour will take place in the Renaissance Palace of Carlos V. The Emperor ordered the construction of the palace next to the old Royal House (Nasrid Palaces), in order to enjoy its wonders. From here we will do the same route through the Alhambra forest to finish at the same meeting point.
