Our guide Maria Jesus was excellent and did a great job negotiating the crowds, we had several locations where we were nearly alone. We covered so much history and details and didn’t miss a thing. We appreciated her passion and knowledge, she made sure we understood the importance of each piece not just take in the views. I highly recommend her as a guide. My only complaint was the details between Get Your Guide and the local company were unclear, I contacted the local company for confirmation and further details a few days ahead and never received a response. I didn’t get any further clarity after later contacting Get Your Guide. It was a little unnerving considering the lack of clarity on the meet up and the sheer number of guides meeting in the same location that we didn’t have a reliable local contact in case of a problem. So 10/10 for the guide but 2/10 for communication by the company which is no fault of the guide.

We arrived late due to difficulty in finding the correct entrance, but although the tour had already departed, our guide made the effort to ensure we could join the group. He provided good information, was patient and responsive to questions. It would be difficult to appreciate the area without the interpretive background provided by our guide.

Oscar, our guide, native to Spain. Born in Ibiza, raised in Malaga. Guided our group with good pace and educated us about the rich history of the Alhambra, Nasrid palaces, and the Alcazaba. He gave us enough history as not to overwhelm us, even asked the group questions to test our own knowledge, and was happy to answer questions after the tour for those intrigued. Thank you Oscar!
