From Tulum: Four-Cenote Adventure

1. From Tulum: Four-Cenote Adventure

Set out from Tulum on a short trek that will bring you to four of the area's most beautiful cenotes. See part of the network of natural freshwater pools the area is known for and learn about their significance to Mayan culture. Arrive first at Naval Cenote after a short walk through the jungle. Ride a zip line and jump off into the water below. Cool off in the clear, fresh water before trekking on to the Pirañas Cenote for more swimming. Then head to Large Cenote Naval where you can try out two incredible long zip lines. Take the second line down to a platform where you can board a canoe to journey in the direction of the final stop: Cenote Azul.  Hop off the boat and make a brief walk through the jungle to Cenote Azul where you can snorkel and marvel at the incredible underwater scenery. Having worked up an appetite from all the swimming, snorkeling, and adventuring, it's time to visit a Mayan village for a bite to eat.  Enjoy a typical Mayan lunch of Chicken Pibil, Poc Chuc, salad, rice, beans, guacamole, handmade tortillas, and different flavored natural waters (Jamaica, Orange, and more), along with fruits for dessert.

Cancun: Private Underwater Cenote Photo Shoot Experience

2. Cancun: Private Underwater Cenote Photo Shoot Experience

Get picked up or head to the meeting point in Cancun and prepare for a special private experience you're sure to remember. Learn some breathing techniques at the cenote and then start posing for underwater shots, as directed by your professional photographer. Receive the collection of amazing photos a week later. Before you begin the photo shoot experience, listen to a briefing and learn some breathing techniques to help you hold your breath longer underwater as well as some tips and tricks to help you relax in the water. Not a confident swimmer? Don’t worry, there are many areas you can hold on to or stand on. Your photographer will be a professional diving instructor who will help guide you through poses as he takes amazing photos of you in the water. This is great for individuals and couples who are looking for unique, Instagram-worthy mementos. Besides getting amazing photos, this unique experience will allow you to connect with nature in a magical cenote. Cenotes were highly sacred to the Mayan people as they were believed to be the gateway to the underworld. There will be a quick break in between the photoshoot where you can rest a little bit before diving back into the water to add more photos to your camera roll. Return to the meeting point or to your hotel.

This was a very fun tour! It was nice and close to Tulum town. Our guide Daniela was very knowledgeable of the history of the area and fun to hang out with! We opted to have “paparazzi” style photos included with our trip and our photographer Gasper was also very knowledgeable of Mayan culture, explaining local legends of the area and the different types of native plants. He took excellent photos of us and also was kind enough to take extra nature photos along the way at our request. Our lunch at the Mayan restaurant in the park was spectacular, it was easily one of the best meals of our entire trip. You can see the ladies cooking and making trinkets which was neat and lended an authentic feel. Highly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend! Beaut little half-day tour that packs a lot in. Beautiful cenotes; walking through the jungle; zip lining; snorkeling (we saw turtles!); canoe ride; topped off by the best lunch we’ve had all trip in a Mayan village. Alberto was our guide and he was an absolute gem. Friendly and knowledgeable, his passion for local culture and the environment was obvious and completely infectious, and was the cherry on top of a really enjoyable, fun day. Thank you, Alberto!

Worth the time and money for sure. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a low key, fun, and knowledgeable tour. Betto was our guide and we were so pleased with him! He made our experience even that much more awesome!

This was an amazing tour and we were the only ones on it! We were provided with snorkels and had the cenotes mostly to our selves. The lunch after was wonderful too.

The tour was good & our tour guide Jorge was knowledgeable & nice.
