Chiang Rai: Full-Day Customizable Private Tour

2. Chiang Rai: Full-Day Customizable Private Tour

Start with pickup from your hotel and meet your passionate tour guide who will impart tidbits of history and culture on a full-day exploration of Chiang Rai. Enjoy a private tour that allows you to choose the sights and activities you want to experience, without wasting time on those you’d rather skip. Although Chiang Rai is usually overlooked in favor of its sister city Chiang Mai, dig a little deeper and discover a charming town rich in arts and culture. Originally the capital of the Mengrai Dynasty, the city was founded in the late 1200s and retains many of its Lanna influences in architecture, language, and cuisine. Simply indicate the attractions you want to see so that your guide has several options to craft the best schedule for you based on geography and diversity. If you don’t know where to start, a visit to the famous White and Blue Temples is strongly recommended. These are masterpieces in Lanna architecture and art. Also of particular interest is the Golden Triangle – a marked area where the countries of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos meet.

What people are saying about Golden Triangle

Prepare yourself for an entire day!! We had the most amazing time with our guide Maggie and driver Arun. Since we were the only family on the tour, besides having the van all to ourselves, Maggie catered to us, pointing out sights along the way and answering all of our crazy questions and then some. We were able to say how long we wanted to stay at each place and she took pictures of us in the best spots. She even sent them to us right before we were dropped off. It was very hot and we were provided cold water and cold wipes after every stop. The air conditioned van was perfect. I highly recommend this tour (even though it was very long!!)

Our tour guide Mona and driver were absolutely great! Both very sweet and accommodating. Allowed us to pick and choose the places we did and did not want to see since it was a private tour. Took photos and videos for us when needed. Just absolutely amazing! We loved them.

Our guide, Sid, was awesome. We had a private tour of the hot springs, white temple, golden triangle, opium museum and the blue temple. Sid was very knowledgeable, spoke great English and knew all the places to see. He also takes great pictures and videos.

This was a great experience. We got to customize our tour to what we wanted to see instead of the standard tour. Our Guide Mr. Anan and driver Mr. Yom were amazing. We would recommend this tour and this company to everyone.

Great experience to see everything you need to in Chiang Rai. Make sure you leave enough time to go to the golden triangle
