Full description
From Glasgow we travel north towards the Scottish highlands. Our first stop is for a cup of tea or coffee at a café on the shores of Loch Lomond. We then climb up into the Highlands over the unique, desolate landscape of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to Glencoe, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan. After lunch at Fort William, we continue beneath Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis and into the Great Glen. As well as the Caledonian Canal, and the pretty village of Fort Augustus, you can enjoy spectacular views of Loch Ness. At Loch Ness, you can explore Urquhart Castle and take a Jacobite cruise, or relax in Dochgarroch. We begin our return journey from Inverness, Capital of the Highlands. Before arriving back on Glasgow, we will cross the Grampian Mountains and the woodland scenery of Perthshire, including the Forest of Atholl.

The tour guide had alot of cool stories to share about the places we visited and drove through, we had Stuart, I was amazed at how he was able to maintain the same energy level throughout the day even when he must have been exhausted, thank you for making the day memorable

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Drive through the scenic views of highlands, pit stops for photos and to take a moment to feel the beautiful nature around us made the trip memorable. Driver, Andy, made the trip more pleasurable with his commentary and funny jokes. All in all, it was a great and memorable trip. Huge thanks to the organisers.

You really have to be careful with the meeting place. Come at 7:30 am instead of 7:45 am and really position yourself in front of the building under the columns. In addition to buying the ticket, to have a good day, there are other costs to be expected such as The Boat Ride on Loch Ness: £ 19. For lunch it costs £ 20 per person. There is not a lot of restaurant choice on the road. It's a stop in a village brasserie-type restaurant, like a B&B, or a Self-Service Canteen. Gourmet food is not to be expected, but it is in the theme of the excursion with typical Scottish dishes on the menu. For our part, we ate very well. A visit to the Castle is also £ 12 per adult. In short, it is still necessary to plan £ 50 / additional person to spend the day and participate in all the activities. It would be if all charges were itemized when booking.
