We will accompany you to the more specialized taverns to enjoy these small art pieces of Girona and Catalan Gastronomy in general. You will taste local cheeses and sausages, anchovies from La Escala, Iberian ham, the typical sweet from Girona, the Xuixo, and other spectacular products that will surely surprise you. All these products combined by any of the fantastic wines that this country offers. We have more than 50 wineries in the province that nowadays, have nothing to envy to other wine regions of Spain or France. Our D.O (origin denomination) Empordà has become the pride of Girona in recent years. They produce white, rosé and especially red wines of excellent quality. If you do not like wine or cannot drink it, you can taste some beer, or other non-alcoholic drink.

Enjoy a full day tour departing from Girona city to explore the most breathtaking part of the Costa Brava area, near the border to France! The first visit will be in the Natural Park of Cap de Creus located to the North-East of the Iberian Peninsula, where we can enjoy from the cliffs of spectacular views over the Gulf of Roses. We can visit the lighthouse and walk around to see the vegetation and rocky formations that characterize it (between June and September this part of the Natural Park is closed due the high risk of fire). After we will go to Cadaqués, the place more often reproduced in paintings by Dalí and where the artist lived for many years (cala de Portlligat). we will be able to walk through the town, its streets made with spike-shaped stones, its beaches and visit the Church of Santa Maria located in the highest area of the village. After lunch we will visit the impressive monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, situated in a privileged place, in the Verdera mountains, within the Rodes mountains chain at 520m high with a visual domain of the Bay of Port de la Selva and the northern part of the massif of Cap de Creus. The origin of the monastery is wrapped by the legends, linked to archaeological and historical questions, gives the site a certain air of mystery. part of the legend, the monastery and in particular his Church is regarded as one of the main exponents of the Romanesque in Catalonia for their great originality. To finish the route we will have a tasting of wines with D.O. Empordà and olive oil in Empordàlia Cellar and its local shop products

Monica was such a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and engaging when telling us the history of Girona and made it so very interesting. The tapas afterwards was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
