For lovers of military history, this 2-hour tour of Gibraltar is essential viewing. Traveling by comfortable air conditioned 6-8 seater mini-bus, you will drive past the Second World War Evacuation Monument and the white Portland limestone British Defence Wall, built during the 18th and 19th Century. Continue to King’s Bastion, where General Elliott defended Gibraltar during the last Great Siege. Admire the 100 Ton Gun, an impressive 32.65-foot-long, 17.72 inch rifled muzzle loader capable of firing up to 8 miles. Travel to the highest point on The Rock and get superb views across the Straits of Gibraltar to Africa from Gibraltar Fortress. Then, spend some time making friends with the famous Barbary Apes in their natural habitat, and see the only apes still roaming wild in Europe. Walk through the amazing World War II Tunnels, where photographs documenting the troops' work are on display. And visit the imposing Moorish Castle, built by the Moors in 1160 AD after their conquest of Gibraltar in 711 AD. The tour ends in Casemates Square, ideal for those who wish to carry on shopping or relax at a local restaurant.

Very memorable and a true experience

Our guide was so friendly and informative he made the trip very enjoyable. The visit to the Apes was slow and at a good pace for us all to enjoy these remarkable animals. The WW2 tunnels were really interesting and our guide was very clear in history.
