Full description

For lovers of military history, this tour of Gibraltar is essential. Traveling by air-conditioned mini-bus, drive past the Second World War Evacuation Monument and the white Portland limestone British Defence Wall, built during the 18th and 19th Century. Continue to King’s Bastion, where General Elliott defended Gibraltar during the last Great Siege.

Travel up the rock and get superb views across the Straits of Gibraltar to Africa from Gibraltar Fortress. Then, spend some time spectating with the famous Barbary Apes in their natural habitat, and see the only apes still roaming wild in Europe. Walk through the World War II Tunnels, where photographs documenting the troops' work are on display. And visit the imposing Moorish Castle, built by the Moors in 1160 AD after their conquest of Gibraltar in 711 AD. The tour ends in Casemates Square, ideal for those who wish to carry on shopping or relax at a local restaurant.

Fortunately, at the foot of the cable car, the man was offering a minibus ride that saw a stalactite cave, monkeys and a fortress. Jamie was a good and nice guide and the cost of the ride was well below half the price of the activity we booked in advance. The nature of the excursion changed slightly, but this is better than nothing. At home I was advertising. GYG did an excellent job, deeply apologizing and at the same time saying that he had asked the service provider to return the prepaid money as I demanded. Very memorable and a true experience

Our guide was so friendly and informative he made the trip very enjoyable. The visit to the Apes was slow and at a good pace for us all to enjoy these remarkable animals. The WW2 tunnels were really interesting and our guide was very clear in history.
