What a great way to spend 3 hours in Geneva! A well-thought out mixture of walking, boating and sitting; of learning about the history of Geneva and the history of chocolate; of the new town and the Old Town; of watching the world go by, and most importantly of the taste and aromas of chocolate in many forms. A successfully scripted tour that, even on a grey, cold and windy (and sometimes rainy) day, met expectations - building from a highly anticipated height at the start (learning about how to appreciate chocolate) to a suitable contemporary crescendo (tasting the most recent addition to the chocolate family). Highly recommended. Thank you, Mei. You did a fabulous job as our guide. All the best for the future and I’m sure many others will reap the benefits of your knowledge and nature.
We only had one day in Geneva and chose this tour. It did not disappoint!!! The most deliciously informational tour of the city. The hot chocolate and chocolatiers were indescribably delicious in their taste. I enjoyed the boat ride on the lake as well. The guide was engaging and fun. Truly a superb experience. My teenage son also greatly enjoyed it and was entertained and intrigued the whole time. 5 stars. Two thumbs up. I’d do it again! Just be sure to get there early to get a parking spot if you are driving your own car. Parking is tricky in the city.
Our tour guide, Julie, was exceptional! We could not have asked for more from this tour. She was energetic, knowledgeable, smart and very enthusiastic about what she was talking about. The chocolate was amazing and it was the perfect mix of tasting and history! I would suggest this tour to everyone who wants to discover the city and learn a few things along the way while eating (& drinking) some fabulous chocolate!! Ask for Julie and you will not be disappointed!! Enjoy!!
If you love chocolate, this tour will delight not just your tastebuds, but all five of your senses. From hot chocolate to award winning cakes, to the favourite chocolate of the Japanese Imperial family, you will experince the best chocolate the Swiss have to offer Our helpful and personable guide, Julie, also gave us a tour of the history of Geneva... and how Chocolate ended up becoming an intergal part of the city's very history!
Our guide, Rosalia, with Local Flavour Tours, was very knowledgeable. She guided us through the streets of Geneva, stopping and tasting at 5 local Chocolate makers. She told us stories of chocolate in history and discussed the history of Geneva as well. I would recommend this tour if you like chocolate!
