Jeep Safari in the Gargano National Park

1. Jeep Safari in the Gargano National Park

We will pickup you at your staying location, or in a meeting point near your location. This excursion will allow you to explore the hidden Gargano, which is usually does not seen. In the company of an expert environmental guide, on board one of our off road Land rover vehicles, we will take to the dirt trails and explore pristine places. Along the way, we will meet shepherds in their ancient farmhouses, amidst watering holes with breath-taking views. We will not neglect the environmental culture, the local history and the adventures that have been had there. In the forest, you'll also live the adventure on the top of the Jeep (if possible). At the end, we will stop in our farmhouse, to taste some typical products (pane e pomodoro, caciocavallo podolico), and play with our friend: Prezzemolo the donkey! After the trip, we'll drop you off where we picked you up at the start. …. if you love adventure, enjoy one of ours for a day.

Vico Del Gargano Tour: Quaint Old Town On The Sea

2. Vico Del Gargano Tour: Quaint Old Town On The Sea

Just 10 km from the Umbra forest, in the heart of the Gargano, stands Vico del Gargano, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. This guided tour will allow you to discover the two districts of Civita and Casale as well as the main places of interest, such as the church Matrice with its bell tower and altar dedicated to St. Valentine, the patron saint of the town. Within walking distance you will visit the churches of St. Joseph, St. Mark, and St. Mary of the Angels, as well as the convent of the Capuchins and St. Peter. The historic center still partially retains its walls which have become, in part, houses. A few steps away, you will reach a castle with a quadrangular form, probably of Norman origins. The tour continues with an external visit to Palazzo della Bella, designed according to the model of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. The tour ends with a visit to the Museo Trappeto Maratea, an ancient olive oil mill from the 14th Century, carved into the rock. Inside you will visit two areas: in one there are the wooden presses for the pressing of the olives, the mill, and other useful tools for the production of oil and for agricultural work. Tn the other, you can see a tank for oil, a warehouse, and a barn.
