Full description

Take a day trip to Inisheer (Inis Oirr) from Galway and discover the ancient churches and castles on the smallest of the Aran Islands. Visit the Cliffs of Moher and admire the coastal scenery.

From the meeting point in Galway, get driven south along the Wild Atlantic Way and into the lunar-like Burren region. From there, head to the picturesque fishing village of Doolin where you’ll board the ferry to Inisheer. Once there, explore the island's churches, castles, lighthouses, shipwrecks, cafes, and pubs. Discover one of Ireland's most beautiful beaches and, if you like, take a pony and carriage, hire a bicycle, or stroll the country roads.

Stop for a hearty meal at a traditional local pub before arriving at the Cliffs of Moher. You will receive free entry to the cliffs and the eco-sensitive visitor center.

Take a stroll along the cliff edge and consider how tiny everything looks from above. Once you depart the cliffs,l take the coast road home, following the Wild Atlantic Way. Make one last stop at the stunning Baby Cliffs in Ballyreen where you can walk atop the Burren, before returning to Galway.

Do this trip! The Burren region was fascinating and it was a beatiful day to see the 12 Bens of Connemara. We passed through the beautiful port town of Doolin where we later had a delicious true Irish pub lunch. The boat ride over to Innisfree was full of amazing views and the island itself is rich with history and culture and exploration. The boat ride back took us literally up to the Cliffs of Moher where we got spectacular views. Then we were taken back by bus to the top of the cliffs where we had time to roam and explore. It was an unbelievable day and well organized, friendly staff and team. Do this trip!

We loved the visit. John was a great guide, very friendly and funny, making the trip very enjoyable. We have not seen the time pass. Only downside, the lunch break at the pub at 3 p.m., there was only 40 minutes to eat and the food did not necessarily please everyone … but you will not be disappointed with this excursion!

The sun was shining and we took a ferry to one of the Aran islands. We explored the island by bike. Small and beautiful, visit a "sunken" church and a picturesque shipwreck. The cliffs are impressive and we enjoyed the ferry rides a lot. The history of the Emerald Isle, told by a great tour guide. The drive along the winding roads of the Burren combined with stories about the history of this region.
