Full description
Arrive at Marina Nova Funchal 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time and board a luxury catamaran. Receive some safety information from the experienced crew. Choose to sit in the luxurious interior with comfortable seating and protection from the sun, and lounge chairs or outdoor hammocks. Afterward, sit back and relax as you sail towards the open sea. Although sightings of marine species can not be guaranteed, dolphins and whales are often found in the waters around Funchal. Keep an eye on the movements in the water whilst the crew answers any questions about the variety of species. Continue up to the high cliffs of Cabo Girão, which rise 580 meters above sea level. Anchor the boat at Cabo Girão and immerse yourself in the refreshing waters to explore underwater marine life with a snorkel. Then, stroll at a leisurely pace around the Marina of Funchal, and marvel at the fantastic views of Madeira's landscapes. Very nice team, we were picked up at the hotel and let out directly at the pier. Then we went to the well-groomed catamaran, we were only four couples plus the crew of 4 men. Everything was very relaxed and a very quiet process, we could catch a few glimpses of small whales, then we went to Gabo Girão Cape and along the Coast back to the port of Funchal. We would book the trip again, but it was in January, it will certainly be full in summer. Small tip on board there are fresh coffees and cool drinks, a towel can be hired for € 1, the drinks Prices were fair and cheap for us. The toilet is very tight, so better go back to the toilet before ;-)

The tour with the beautiful catamaran in a small group of 8 people plus 2 crew was great. The crew gave us wonderful information (English) about the dolphins we saw and answered our questions during the tour. Just great. Contacting before the start of the tour did not work (email) due to pick-up transfer, but the office is at the port in the CR7 Museum building.

Very nice tour with a great catamaran. There were ten of us on board and we always had a lot of space. The skippers were really nice and looked very intensively for dolphins and JUHU we saw some. A short swim stop below Cabo Girão and then it goes back near the coast with a short detour to Camara de Lobos Bay with small colorful fishing boats.
