Full description
You will begin your route towards Pájara, a small oasis among barren mountains. From here you will have views of its church, which is complete with an Aztec-style façade. You will then visit Tiscamanita, stopping at an aloe vera production plant where it is possible to see where this product is created out of agave plants on the island. Next up, you will continue to Betancuria, where you will visit the Casa Santa Maria, a traditional house which collects samples and customs of the inhabitants of the island. Lunch will then be en-route to your next destination, where delicious and traditional dishes will be waiting you. After lunch you will continue the route passing the Mirador de “los Guanches” on the way to the north, before reaching Oliva. Once here you will have a panoramic view of the House of the Colonels, a former residence of the island’s authorities. Afterwards, you can see the beautiful beaches of the Dunes of Corralejo, complete with a photo-stop. This idyllic beach has been a natural setting for various Hollywood production films.

The tour guide was super nice and was able to communicate perfectly with everyone in her 5 different languages :) even drove over a mountain road that is not otherwise part of the tour because our group was very small. The only point that was a bit negative is that you could only choose from two pick-up locations, but the bus driver could have picked us up from our hotel (or in the immediate vicinity) without us knowing that. So we had to take a taxi to the pick up location. At the end of the tour we were able to get off near our hotel and walk to the hotel in 5 minutes. If this is the case for you, please contact the tour guide and write her a message ;) this could save you some stress. The tour was otherwise great to get to know Fuerteventura, we had a lot of fun. The tour guide explained everything well and you could tell how much she liked this island. It was also often stopped for photo breaks and walks.

Pros: Great presentation by the tour guide. Grandiose multilingualism. We crossed the whole island in 8 hours and hardly noticed it from the route. Very nice bus driver. Negative: The organizer gave us a pick-up point very early in the day, which was in a neighboring town. Difficult to reach by bus, so you have to pay a lot of money for a taxi. Neighboring hotel was served, very strange. The tour guide and bus driver spontaneously decided after the tour to take us straight back to our hotel.

A day trip well worth it :) I'll start with the negative as there wasn't much there. The only major negative was that it was quite crowded when we ate and we had to squeeze at the tables. It was also very unfortunate that there was no vegetarian option, we could only choose between chicken and fish. Now for the good news: nice stopping points were chosen, we always had enough time to look around and take photos..but still it wasn't too much time to get bored. Maria our guide was absolutely great, held the tour in three languages, was funny, humorous and had private time for each guest! Simply great!
