Full description
A longtime favorite with discerning travelers, Baden-Baden is an elegant spa town nestled among verdant hills. You can discover attractions such as its opulent casino with the help of an expert guide, before crossing the border to France to visit Strasbourg’s charming Old Town district, topped by its majestic cathedral. Grand palaces and luxurious villas stand proudly in the beautifully landscaped parks of Baden-Baden, as you stroll down noble avenues and learn why a sophisticated clientele has been coming here for centuries. See the famous Kurhaus (spa resort), and wander the lavish halls of the city’s famous casino. Should you choose to stay in Baden-Baden for a splash in the thermal pools or to try your luck at the roulette tables, you can later rejoin the tour group at a set time in the early evening. If you remain with the tour, you will continue onward for a scenic photo stop at Mummelsee Lake, before progressing on to Strasbourg in France through the mysterious Black Forest. Admire the sky-high Strasbourg Cathedral, with impressive Gothic interiors that are sure to take your breath away. Enjoy your leisure time exploring the streets of this UNESCO-protected burg. I just loved the Strasbourg part of it. That only made it worthy! You can do it by train yourself instead of paying that much money.

The transportation was unacceptable for the long drive times included in this trip. The small VAN was NOT comfortable. Very hard to step in & out of the van. Their was no room to stretch your legs. The seats were uncomfortable. The driver, Thomas was friendly. Baden-Baden and Black Forest definitely worth the ride. Strasbourg was beautiful! Just beware of the type of vehicle used! The price of this trip is TOO expensive for sub standard transportation.
