This was a nice mix of a little bit of shopping and a little bit of wine tasting. I would have appreciated better information before the trip about how the day was going to be laid out. It worked out fine though. First Franciacorta Oulet with lunch on our own. We had a delicious plate of different hams and salamis together with some wine. At 14.30 we went to a small wine yard where we had an interesting visit - we were only six people so we could ask all the questions we wanted. The views were stunning. We tasted one of their wines and could buy som too. Then back to the outlet for about an hour befor we went back. It was all well worth the money.
The experience was excellent! The only problem was meeting our driver, in fact he is not allowed to wait for you in the taxi area, as indicated in the docs, we received! He waited at the gallia hotel, so there was s bit of a hiccup to get in touch with him, as the phone was picked up by his manager, not the driver, goodness gracious!!!! In the end we found him, after couple calls. The driver himself was wonderful, so understanding and reserved, we appreciated this, indeed!!!
Our tour was exactly what we wanted. We were staying in Venice and had been there before. This time we wanted to visit Verona and sample some good wine. We met our guide by the transportation center and had a short walk to his car. He pointed out local highlights in Veneto as we drove to Verona where we had a very nice tour. Following that we headed to a small winery and following a tour by the owner we sampled some of their excellent wines. Great day!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Verona and the Amarone & Franciacorta wine regions out of Venice. Our guide Riccardo and driver Peter showed a sincere interest in making sure we had a great experience. They were both so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We're so glad we signed up for this tour and if we come back to the Veneto, we'll be sure to ask for Riccardo and Peter again.
definetly worth it. Felt like I had got my moneys worth on the bus alone then the lunch and wine was delicous . Staff were fantastic resturant & bus . Then the tour of the wineyard was also fantastic ,lovely wine and views and the girl showing us round was such a lovely person and helpful :)
