Full description

Start in the morning with a tour of Pisa. Have time to admire the cathedral, the baptistery, the monumental cemetery, and the famous Leaning Tower. Then move on to a typical winery in the Chianti Hills on the slopes of San Gimignano. Enjoy a Tuscan lunch accompanied by a local wine tasting. Following lunch discover one of the most beautiful medieval villages of San Gimignano, or the "Medieval Manhattan, where you can explore the maze of cobbled streets, small squares, and many local craft stores.

Continue on with a panoramic view of the Chianti countryside before arriving in Siena, where if desired, your professional guide will take you to see the most important squares, from Piazza del Campo to the cathedral, passing through the most beautiful contrade that characterizes this city. At the end of the guided tour, choose to have some free time to enjoy a cup of coffee or a panforte (a typical local cake), and to go shopping. Guide was wonderful. However; There were 73 people on this trip. Which is just a lot. A lot of time was spent gathering people and making sure no one was left behind and walking a lot since the bus can’t get to front of the places. If I could do it all over again I would either rent a car or hire a private driver. Skip lunch and maybe more time doing wine drinking and spend more time in Siena and San G.

Long day but worth it! We were able to explore 4 different places in 1 day with this tour and it ticks the box of a wine tasting if you didn’t want to book a full day trip solely for that. Stunning scenery for photos and plenty to learn about in each place. I would recommend this trip and also recommend the add-on of the walking tour in Siena as there is history to the city we wouldn’t have learned otherwise.

Had a really good day, Barbara was our guide she did well on her own as the other guide was ill. Lunch was very light and were not given the vegetarian option as we were told although managed to get some left overs. Slightly rushed but enough time and recommendations from Barbara helped us make sure we did the main things in each place. Lots of information given on the bus about history/context!
