Emanuella (I hope I got the spelling correct) was a fabulous guide and this was a true 'small group' tour (there was a total of 7 people). She was knowledgable and took her time and asked several times if we had questions or needed anything. The pace was good for 3 adults and a 5 year old (we brought a stroller and it helped a lot with all the walking). I would highly recommend this tour.

Let me start by saying the local guide, Sofia, was magnificent. I’ve had guides throughout the world. None were better! I’ve always had good luck with GetYourGuide, but the local company used here in Florence was terrific, especially Sofia. Even though the tour was scheduled for 4 hours, we spent closer to 5 hours. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, and handled the logistics and wandering patrons expertly. Even though we were on the tour for 5 hours, it did not seem that long. Sofia seamlessly wove the venues and museums together with history, facts and anecdotes. One warning to potential clients. We had no issues being on our feet for the time, both of us are in our late 6o’s, and it was not strenuous at all, but if you have trouble standing for that long, be advised. Finally, if you can, book with Sofia. She was fantastic!

Giovanni was extremely knowledgeable about the art, history, and Florence itself as we explored the Uffizi and Accademia on our guided city walking tour. His patience, knowledge, and willingness to answer any question we had was wonderful, and his English was superb. We would recommend Giovanni as a guide for any, or all, activities you book with GetYourGuide in Florence.
