Our guide, Rachel was fantastic. She actually teaches art history as her primary profession and does tour guiding as a side gig. Her English was great, and she had lots of entertaining stories about the art history of the two museums that we visited. However, this tour does not include any overview of the downtown area. We did not visit or talk about the Duomo at all, or any of the Medici history, or even visit the Ponte Vecchio… This tour was strictly to museums, and there was an hour break in the middle for lunch. We did an hour at the galleria della Academy, and then two hours in the Uffizi gallery in the afternoon. I just want to clarify that because it’s not entirely what we were expecting, even though we had a fantastic tour, overall!

Edwardo did an excellent job at explaining the art at Uffizi gallery and the Academia. He explained all history and art so succinctly. He converted my son who dislikes art to an art lover and now my son is into collecting food art. Definitely a great tour for first timers!!!
