What people are saying about Florence
We could not have had a better experience. While it was supposed to be a group tour, my daughter and I ended up being the only 2. Our tour guide, Francesco, is the reason for my 5 star rating. He bought my daughter her first Italian coffee and then entertained us and was willing to answer all of our questions about Tuscany (and really Italy in general). He even shared his Napoletan pizza dough recipe with us! San Gimignano is a quaint and beautiful town and I do wish we had had more time to explore. Don't miss Dondoli's Gelato! Both wineries were beautiful and we learned a lot about the process of wine making. We were given bread, meats, cheeses, olive oils (including truffle and spicy truffle), balsalmic vinegar and dessert. We arrived back in Florence full and happy and with wonderful information and memories. Thank you Francesco!
We’re on a girls trip , so there were three of us . We did the half day small group wine tasting tour in Tuscany,it was fantastic. We went to two Chianti Classico wineries, the staff at the winery were very knowledgeable about the wines. My favorite was Casa Emma. But honestly they were both great, beautiful properties. Well worth the money , Leo our guide /driver gave us just enough history of Florence and info about the wine region as we drove to the wineries ( on top of that he plays great guitar!). The tour/tasting were elegant, plenty of great pairings , and with it being a small tour it meant there were only 20 -25 people so got to meet others . Would definitely recommend!
We enjoyed our tour of Tuscany tremendously with Walkabout Florence! Our driver Nando and our guide Gloria were amazing and informative. The tour gives you a behind the scenes look at many places that a typical visitor may not ever get to see you. Having lunch at the Vineyard was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There were so many added bits of information along the way that gave you a lot of history and local knowledge of the area. We would highly recommend anyone to take the tour. It is something that should not be missed.
Our guide Sara was simply fantastic. She had so much information, was very lovely and really made the tour authentic. The bus was comfortable, cool and modern. The tour was really good as our first experience of the Tuscan region. It gave us a taste of a few different things rather than focusing on one thing. We had free time in each location, a beautiful lunch and wine tasting. We loved the day! Well worth the money.
Our guide Alice was very sweet, very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. She was definitely a 5. Our tour started 1 1/2 hours late and even though the company threw in an extra hour, we were still stuck waiting around. The tour itself was really just being bussed from place to place and walking around, although it definitely gave us a taste of Florence and Pisa.
