Full description
Depart Florence early in the morning and transfer to the Ligurian coast by air-conditioned coach. Cross 2 of Italy’s most scenic provinces as pass the rolling hills of Tuscany for Liguria. Upon arrival at Cinque Terre, transfer to the public train and travel up the coast for breathtaking views of the villages. Cruise into Poets’ Gulf, dominated by green hills, clear waters, and vivid villages. Continue through Poets’ Gulf to Vernazza and Riomaggiore, one of the most stunning places on the west coast of Italy. Look at the little fishermen’s boats docked by the beach, and an old castle on the horizon. Enjoy some free time to explore the village on your own. Continue by train to see the Cinque Terre National Park from the sea. Marvel at how man overcame the challenge of nature, creating one-of-a-kind residences with unparalleled views. Stop at Monterosso, the largest town of the Cinque Terre. Enjoy some free time for lunch, and to swim in the sea, or join an optional light hike of the Cinque Terre mainland to enjoy it from a different perspective. Walk past terraced vineyards and ancient olive groves. Then, climb aboard the train to Manarola, where you’ll be dazzled by views of the tiny harbor, full of colorful boats and vibrant natural formations. Having never been before to the very turist busy cinque terre, this tour was the best, and our guide Elissa (spelling?) was absolutely the best. She is an italian that speaks English quite well, but was also happy to let me practice by Italian by speaking to her in Italian. If you have never been to the cinque terre before I would highly recommend this tour.

Antonia was great, very pleasant and a great guide. We had plenty of time in each villiage . The views were breathtaking . Our journey was comfortable in a lovely air conditioned bus, with charging points too which were handy. The day flowed perfectly with no waiting for each train to each village. We also did a trek in maranello which is so worth it , as you’ll see the views are amazing up there. Highly recommend for all ages . Thank you !

LOTS of travel, but a great way to see Cinque Terre if you’re strapped for time on your vacation. Only saw 4 of the 5 towns with an hour at 3 and 2 hours at 1 town. Our guide (Elle) was great! She knew about each of the towns and told us our options for each town. Had I realized what this trip was I might have gone with another because we were looking for more beach time.
