Clare Valley Day Tour: Shared Wine Tour

7. Clare Valley Day Tour: Shared Wine Tour

Escape life's hustle and bustle and book a couple of night's accommodation to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Clare Valley. When you stay in the region you magnify your experience, which is why we do not offer day trips from Adelaide. All you have to do is be ready at 10am. With its charming stone cellars, rolling hills, ancient vines, and delicious wines, it's no wonder that this hidden and picturesque wine region is a romantic getaway destination. We're offering you a unique opportunity to explore the beautiful Clare Valley with a local tour guide who knows the place inside out. It has lots of secrets too, you'll learn where the Kelly Gang were hiding in this most Irish of South Australian Counties, and perhaps see the grave of the explorer who was shot by a camel. When you book our tour, you'll get to experience the best that the Clare Valley has to offer. Our local tour guide will take you to boutique wineries, introduce you to the venue operators, and be a big part of your tasting adventures. You'll avoid an impersonal multi-seater bus trip and enjoy your experience, with a maximum of x5 passengers on any tour. Most wineries charge a 'tasting fee' which covers the wine you taste (not included in the tour price). The Clare Valley is one of Australia's oldest and most significant grape-growing regions, with an annual rainfall of just under 600mm. This phylloxera-free environment is home to some of Australia's 'Ancient Vines,' which still produce grapes for wine. During the day, you may get to explore the quaint hamlets of Mintaro, Watervale, Sevenhill, Auburn, Leasingham, and Penwortham. These charming towns are full of stone buildings and have an authentic Aussie charm that you won't find anywhere else. Plus, with our backroads route, you'll get to see parts of the region that city day-tours avoid. Our tour is designed to be comfortable and convenient. We'll pick you up from your Clare Valley accommodation and take you on a leisurely trip around the region's best wineries. Our leather-seated vehicle is perfect for small groups, and we have many lunch options for you to choose from (not included in the price), including bakeries, country pubs, wineries, or restaurants. Don't miss out on this opportunity to explore one of Australia's most authentic wine regions with a local guide who knows all the best spots. As a small, bespoke organisation, we have limited availability, so we advise that if this tour looks good to you, book it now!

It was the best trip of my life, I was trying the outback experience for the first time and it went so great! Many thanks and kudos to our awesome guides Emily Coates and Dan ❤️, these guys made our journey so enjoyable and easy, these guys have a soul for guiding! It was scary sometimes and super hot ( we were travelling at the hottest time of the year in the hottest part of Australia wow) but Em and Dan accommodated to our needs the best and helped us battle our fears, as a result we’ve got the most magical time going from Yulara to Adelaide, it was incredible , I would never forget it and highly recommend this tour and this company ! Go go Untamed Escapes! Loved being a group of 9(Dan, Em and us) in the wild outback🐨 we saw everything !

Charles was fantastic- he was knowledgeable and patient with us and so friendly that I want him to be apart of the family.I highly recommend this tour as it is a taste sensation away from the corporate wine making . It was my wife’s birthday and he made it a day remember. We have been on many Wine tours in different states and countries and can without a shadow of doubt that this the best.

I can definitely recommend this trip. Mick is a highly experienced, knowledgeable and entertaining guide. The scenery is breathtaking and it was wonderful to see numerous wildlife species and be educated about the indigenous flora. The accommodation was very comfortable and the food was hearty throughout. Wonderful trip!

Super nice tour!!! Flinders Ranges, Coober Pedy, Kings Canyon, Uluru and Kata Tutja all I wanted to see at a good pace. So everywhere enough time to see everything. In addition, great walks and a great guide, who also cooked delicious food at the same time. Happy 😃
