What people are saying about Firostefani

For the inaugural visit to Greece in celebration of my parents' 50th anniversary, we opted for this particular hike due to the highly recommended caldera vistas along its trails. The scenery and panoramic views proved to be absolutely breathtaking. Our tour guide, Sophia Mpougioukou, was incredibly sweet and attentive, taking excellent care of my family. Given that my parents are in their 70s, the hike presented a strenuous challenge for them. However, Sophia vigilantly looked after their well-being throughout the entire excursion, even offering them walking sticks, which proved to be indispensable, especially in rugged and demanding terrain. This unforgettable experience will stay with us forever, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to return in the future.

Our guide, Kathryn was excellent. She was knowledgeable, shared the stories, culture and was very personable. She made sure we were all doing ok and stopped as per our preference. We were debating whether to do the hike on our own or do a guided tour and I am glad we did the guided tour with Kathryn. Our two teenagers also very appreciative of the experience she provided us along the journey.

We had a wonderful hike with Sophie as our guide. She shared a lot of information about what we saw along the hike. We stopped to see the sunset from a spot above Oia without getting into the crowds. This is a great way to see many villages on the north end of the island and to see the caldera.

I could have done this hike alone but guided by Eva and with other people made it so much more enjoyable. Warning: wear your most comfortable hikers, the path is solid and hard on feet and knees. Tremendous Caldera views the whole way.

seeing places off the path... going to be monastary was a highlight along with the vineyard
