Unforgettable experience

My husband and I did not know what to expect as we had heard that Fatima had become very commercial, however, we were blown away by the experience. The area was vast but welcoming and had such a reverential feel. We did not feel any commercialism, there were no hawkers or security, just groups of pilgrims and ordinary people wandering around respectfully. Luis, our guide, was very professional and picked us up from our hotel punctually in a clean and comfortable vehicle. He tailored the tour to suit our needs and gave us all the information we needed. We would have liked to stay for the rosary and candlelight procession but it was too late for us (starting at 9.30 pm).

Very good, it's super worth it! Our driver was Mr Joaquim, very friendly, picked us up where we were and he was very kind to let us leave at the Oceanário instead of leaving us back at the accommodation and so we saved time. Fátima is a magical place that cannot be missed!! I highly recommend it.

It was an awesome must-do

I was really glad that I found this tour that was in the evening. My guide was Paulo and he was awesome. He knew the history very well and could answer all the questions I had. The trip started with a pick-up from my hotel and he even reminded me that it might get cold and waited as I grabbed a jacket. We arrived slightly late for the last mass but I believe we caught most of it. We watched mass for a bit then explored the whole area. The basilica and the chapel was beautiful. After exploring we stopped for dinner. As I had already eaten before the tour, I decided to go shop for a rosary in the shops nearby as Paulo went to grab a quick bite. By the time I joined him, he was almost done. We then went to get a candle and stand in place for the rosary to start. To be honest, I wished I skipped the shopping and waited at the chapel because we ended up having to stand the whole session, but that was okay. The candle procession after was so beautiful! I highly recommend this tour!
