An excellent show at a great price. It is an early performance starting at seven. You’re finished by eight so easy to go and eat after. The fado bars start up much later and often are tied into a meal so it can end up pretty expensive. This was a good option for us.

An oasis of calm in the busy district and a friendly welcome. The show started with some beautiful guitar, after which the lady singer gave the audience what it had come for - the unique vocal fado. A male singer alternated with her and there was more gorgeous guitar. It was amazing how much was packed into an hour. The finale was done without amplification - a stunning close to a show not to be missed.

I would have liked to attend a fado club. However, my schedule and those of the clubs in Lisbon did not match up for the night i had available. Fafo in Chiado filled the gap very nicely for me. The theatre in conveniently located for the Lisbon Metro.
