Perfect tour for an introduction to Mexico

We started the tour in the Museum of Anthtropology and stayed there more than 3 hours. A wonderfull start. The museum is a must-see because of the most comprehensive presentation of the pre-spanish aera. After a short lunch break our guide Edgar took us on a walking tour around the city center of Mexico City. This completed this first introduction to the city. It was really good being on this tour with 8 people only. No doubt Edgar is very knowledgeable but he MUST improve his English! In many cases it was nearly impossible to spot what he wanted to put across to us. Members from the group helped me which was really good. In the end I was a bit disappointed that the pick-up from my hotel did not work out. I must admit my hotel was not in Mexico City itself. But that this would be prohibitve to the pick-up was not clearly stated in the terms of the tour. A big plus was the phone help-line of Get-your-guide. Easy access, reliable and competent. Go for this tour!

A worth-while orientation to Mexico City for the first-time visitor

This was a useful orientation to Mexico City for tow first-time visitors. We took Line 1 that covers the Historic Center and the newer Poblano area. This gave us a good overview of where the things we had already on our list were located, and added a few to the list. However, there are many ways in which the service could be included. The English language commentary was adequate, although it could have been more informative. The map of the route was rudimentary, and investment in material of this kind would be useful. Getting access to English language information and a map on the Internet was also difficult, and we ended up picking up our paper tickets from Amigo Hotel, only to find that we had passed the starting point of the tour, due to lack of information. These are faults that can be easily fixed, and we found all the staff efficient and friendly.

I ll use it again next time wherever I am.

I actually went to Pyramid instead of this tour. There was some communication problem so I went to Pyramid instead of this tour(anyhow 01.01 Museum closed) I m really so happy & thankful for today. No regret at all. ++our guide Abhner was so helpful and kind and good prepaired ++new car with good driver. ++perfect program to discover Mexico -too late answer about my question(there was unclearness on website, where and when you pick me up) nevertheless you rebooked my tour for Pyramid so I had great tour. Thank you again and happy new year!!

Activity was interrupted with no warning. Had to get off the bus.

The sights were interesting. The trip was cut short unannounced. I had to get off the bus as it could not return to the planned location. Therefore I was unable to continue the tour on another bus as I was told I would be able to. There were only a handful of people on the tour with me. No announcement was made. I had to go downstairs to ask the driver. The meeting place was not where to get the bus in the first place. This was not at all clear. Wasted a lot of time.

The guide kept repeating himself. His English was poor, so he shouted

We only had 40 minutes at the Frida Kahlo museum and it was not enough. There were long lines of people when we got there and even though we got priority entry it took quite a bit to get through the museum because of the numbers of people. So it seems to me that strategically the Cayoacan square and the open market could be after Frida Kahlo house because that was reason the majority of people took the tour. The boat trip was fun.
