What people are saying about Zagreb

Mia gave an exceptional and educative tour!

The Croatian Homeland War Tour was excellent. Mia, our guide, was exceptionally well informed and clearly an expert in Croatian history. The tour is an engaging mix of visiting the city's tunnels and an authentic bomb shelter, narration and history provided by the guide, and a video explaining pertinent events. We did the tour after exploring much of the city and it helped to tie together many of the places we had seen. Highly recommend this tour. So engaging and educative. Mia is excellent at what she does!

Excellent way of seeing the lakes and getting from Zagreb to Split

A long day out (12+ hours). The Plitvice Lakes were fabulous albeit rather crowded. We stopped at a service station and a village on the way to the lakes and then felt a bit rushed at the lakes and very rushed when we transferred buses for the final journey to Split so would rather have skipped one of those stops. Our guide, Marinko was very good, particularly handling a largish group (27) of people of very mixed abilities.

Thorough, comprehensive and well planned out!

We found this walk very well planned and well organized. Our guide Maja did an excellent job of explaining the main attractions with historical background but what made it more personal were her anecdotes from her childhood as a Croatian. She spent time interacting with people from the group individually as well. This walk was so worth it! We highly recommend it as ‘must do’ activity when come to Zagreb!

Detailed insight into history of Zagreb and Croatia

Our guide Tomislav is very informative and welcomed all of our questions. The tour gives you the insight into the history of Croatia and how Croatia turn from 3 regions into 5 and thus changing it’s national flag with 5 code of emblems. The pace of the tour is just right with a little time for photos, especially the night view of the Cathedral.

Our guide was wonderful and food was delicious

We learned so much on our tour and our guide was very easygoing and knew so much about the city. She even had a small book she had made that had pictures of the city at different points of time in history, and was able to answer all of our questions. The food was also really good.
