What people are saying about Zagreb

Beautiful tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide

Amazing little tour! The guide and driver were very knowledgeable and kept you entertained throughout the whole drive, the village tour and the tour of the lakes. Pick Up and Drop Off were efficient and easy to access and the stop in the town of Rastoke was a lovely addition to the tour. Lakes were stunning and this tour covers a lot of ground in a short period of time. Be prepared to take photos as you walk and lots of crowds but that has nothing to do with the tour itself. We arrived at the lakes just before the crowds which was great and stopped at a lovely restaurant on the way back that had great food. Our guide was Marinsko and he did a great job. Great value for your money and a very memorable experience, highly recommend.

Highly recommendable local guide experience

Small bike rental shop owned by a local couple, who offer ordinary bike rental, but also a shorter 2,5 hour inner-city guided tour or 4 hour tour including the suburbs. We have done many sightseeing tours by bike, but the one comes in top due to the engagement, knowledge and proud local guide, who truly loved her city and liked to communicate with people from other cultures. We also enjoyed hearing her views and experiences about Croatias situation as part of Yogoslavia and now in the EU. Worth the money and a good start in a city you dont know yet. Also our teenage sons thought it was great.

Fantastic tour of Varazdin and Trakoscan Castle

Our guide was fabulous, Gorrin, because he was a history major and new everything about Croatia and the surrounding areas. On time and professional with a very comfortable ban. Spent time in Varazdin, a small town about an hour outside Zagreb with some time to explore on our own. Trakoscan Castle was located on a beautiful lake, great views with original furniture furnishings in the castle. A bit of a hike uphill to get into the Castle.

Excellent way of seeing the lakes and getting from Zagreb to Split

A long day out (12+ hours). The Plitvice Lakes were fabulous albeit rather crowded. We stopped at a service station and a village on the way to the lakes and then felt a bit rushed at the lakes and very rushed when we transferred buses for the final journey to Split so would rather have skipped one of those stops. Our guide, Marinko was very good, particularly handling a largish group (27) of people of very mixed abilities.

Great way to combine transfer and major tourist site

Guides were very friendly, knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. They worked with everyone individually to ensure they got to their accommodation . Even the poor weather didn’t affect the day. May be a good idea to have ponchos for sale at bus for bad weather to save paying extra at Plitvice Park
